Without a plan ...
Without vision the people cast off restraint. Sound familiar? Without really knowing where the end goal is or how to get there, one tends to just run around haphazardly in circles, jumping at the most shiny, most popular thing of the moment. I am guilty of this in my own life. Without a solid plan in place, your day can just get wasted away before you know it. A simple process is to organize your week by tasks, your days by priorities - some call it "blocking." Take Monday for example, this may be the day you pay bills, or palce calls to prospects or new clients. You plan to do this from 9 - 11am. Then in the afternoon you'll schedule another task like working on a specific project. The key is to stick to your timeline and stop the activity or task at the designated time. Repeat this fro every day of the week. Wednesday mornings seem to be a great day to contact donors for some reason. :-)
