God Showed Up

Isn't it interesting how after a couple of plagues, even Pharaoh's magicians look to him and say, "Whoa, this is big! You should listen to these guys."

I wonder how many times God has shown up in front of me and I've not noticed; or worse, ignored it? if I'm really honest, it probably happens more often than I want to admit.

The thing is, Pharaoh had his own thing in mind. Maybe it had something to do with his Hebrew half-brother showing up and ordering him around. Or maybe God just hardened his heart again. Either way, he wasn't paying attention. And he paid for it in the end.

Now I'm not saying that I'll end up at the bottom of the Red Sea or anything, but if God came near and I was too self-centered to see it, maybe it would be better if I was?

Father, open my eyes to see You working around me. Cause me to follow Your lead and give me wisdom to move. I love You, Jesus. Amen.
