Satan And Prosperity!
There is so much to be said about Prosperity in our day and age and from the church no less and often it's just pure bunk - garbage - self centered nonsense, coming from the spirit of consumerism that has all of us to some degree...
but what about the biblical doctrine of prosperity - the one that is balanced and truly of God and God honouring and God glorifying? Satan believed in it. Satan saw it. Satan understood it (atleast in part). It's interesting to me that many of God's children seem to lag so far behind the devil in this particular issue...and seem to deny that God would ever do such a thing to one of his children as prosper them...
or that in some ways a man's righteousness and faith could be rewarded in some comparatively small manner here on earth as "worldly possessions or wealth".
But cover to cover it is true, on not of every child of faith, nor is the greatest blessing to be sought for James says that the poor are rich in faith...and faith in God is far more valuable than gold! But cover to cover it is true - God can and does bless some of his children and in some ways as a result of their demonstration of faith toward him.
I do only want what you want for me O God, though my wicked heart does want for so many things. Thank You God for all of the blessings that I know are a result of your hedges and your Hand! You are good to me and more often than not...when i could never have ever deserved it! Forgive me for all the ways that i offend such a generous One like You. NO body can compare to your generosity!
