The 3rd Day
The significance of the 3rd day was not realized in the beginning by man. As Moses was recording the beginning of our time and God's creation, did he know that the 3rd day was redemption for all mankind? God created the grass, the herbs that produce seeds and the trees, in whom carry it's seed within. I think it amazing that God would create us in a similiar way. He placed our seed within us and life springs forth from the depths of us. We multiply both physically and spiritually by the seed that is planted within us. The mystery of man and woman is wrapped up in this as well. A man carries the seed to be planted and woman carries the "soil" in which the seed gets planted. Both are required in order for life to take place - and multiplication to happen. The trees have to have the earth to reproduce. Man and woman have to have each other to reproduce. We have to have God in His fulness to reproduce. Yet the very seed that produces life must die. It has to be buried, die to its original form and be transformed into a new creation. By dying to itself, it actually multiplies. It is amazing. Jesus did the same for all of us. He was the firstfruits - He was the first seed placed in the ground. He was in the ground for 3 days. On the 3rd day, history was wiped clean and a new day dawned for mankind. We now had acces to our Father once again just as Adam and Eve did in the garden. Multiplication took place - Jesus could now be with us and in us. He was no longer held by the limitations of the human form. He had conquered all of our weaknesses and now stands victorious over all things. His Holy Spirit was released to dwell within us, so that we could be like Him. We can die to ourselves and multiply through that death. The 3rd day - what a day that was , is and will be.
