John has such a poet's heart, and he uses words in a way that appeals just as much to the heart as to the intellect... of course ultimately the gospel appeals to the spirit, but I do love his poetic nature.

I love the echo of creation... Word becoming substance.

I love that He tabernacles among us, as I personally celebrate the birth of our Messiah at Sukkot.

I love layering it with Hebrews 1:3a - The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word.

I love that grace and truth are companions and not held as opposites.

There's just so much to love in this one verse.
