Global effects of Sin

We often have this attitude that our sins are private sins that effect only us or a handful of people. Our lives have far reaching consequences. This passage in Genesis reminds us that the sins of the people caused the destruction of the entire planet, all the animals were destroyed because of our actions.
Someone once said that Great Wealth produces Great Poverty. Our actions and our lifestyle always has consequences for which God holds us accountable. To deny their reality is to deny that our lives are connected and that we inhabit the same planet.

"Look, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the WORLD."
