How quickly sin builds up
It's amazing how quickly sin can build up. First, eating the fruit of the forbidden tree and then suddenly Cain is killing Abel.
In our lives, it's not as extreme as going from eating fruit to murder, but the concept is still the same. We start with one little sin... something we don't think is really a big deal at all, and then it snowballs into something huge. Maybe it's placing a little money in a company gambling pool, and it leads to thousands upon thousands of dollars in debt. Or maybe it's innocently flirting with someone, and it leads up to a full-blown affair. Whatever the case may be, you never intend for your little sin to explode so much, but when you allow Satan to enter your life, the outcome is inevitable.
And to think... it could all be avoided by just obeying God.
