Directional Prayer
In these verses, Abraham's servant does something crazy. He prays a directional prayer.
Directional prayer is where you pray, in faith, for specific things to happen in the next few moments or periods of time.
Abraham's servant prayed for the woman who was to be Abraham's son's future wife to offer him and his camels water.
It happened.
And Abraham's servant found his son's future wife.
Do you pray directional prayer? Do you have that kind of faith?
I find that we often don't pray directional prayer because we are afraid that what we pray for won't come true. That we'll be hurt.
Know this: Prayer is talking with God.
When we talk with God, He doesn't do everything for which we ask because His thoughts are higher than ours - He often has better plans than our prayers dictate.
That's nothing to be afraid of.
When our hearts DO align with God's desire, as was the case with Abraham's servant finding his son a future wife, then God will often beautifully answer directional prayer - He may even take it a step further and outdo that for which your directional prayer asked.
So, pray directional prayer in faith! Don't be afraid, but plan huge and ask big, because God loves it when His people ask for things that require faith!!!
