My first contribution, 2 Timothy 2:2 and Mark 1:17

So, this is my first contribution and I don't really know who else will read this besides Luke. Regardless of that, I will just write.
I liked Steven's story about discipleship. Not only are we to read the Bible to help our own spiritual life, but to make disciples of others, and we must know how to do that. There was something else I liked though, and that was one-to-one followup and discipleship. I know that the Lord can use me here and now, but I would like to have a small group to attend to constantly have accountability and discipleship. I mean, looking in the Bible, I believe it's one of the most powerful forms of growing in the Lord! Maybe not the only, but definitely important. The disciples stayed close together, and when Jesus called them, they dropped what they were doing for Him. That's what I need to practice more: self-sacrifice. I need to be able to drop whatever I'm doing when I feel the Lord calling me to follow Him, wherever that may be. I want to get involved in missions, and I feel that He's provided a way for me to do so. I just hope I can do it without letting my pride get in the way and think of myself as "such a great Christian" for doing it. That's not what it's about, it's all about Jesus. I need constant humbling and grace at Jesus' feet to remember that. So that's what Mark was saying, that He called them and they followed. As for Timothy, definitely! We need to make disciples of others. Not just brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, but disciples! We cannot just stop at helping them come to know Christ and accept Him. We need to constantly follow up with them to make sure that they are not only staying strong in their relationship with Christ, but see if they're also witnessing (not forceful, but doing so out of love). We also need to make sure that they aren't afraid to witness, because the Lord has given us a spirit of power (in the Holy Spirit of course!) and not one of timidity! Evangelism is definitely important, we just have to make sure we do so out of love.
To anyone reading this, thanks : ). If you'd like to talk to me about any of this, please comment! I'd love to hear people's response.
His Blessings : )
