Prov. 1:10-19
We are called to be Salt & Light to this world, meaning we should be "life giving" influencers to those around us. In order for us to do that well we must be grounded in the wisdom of God's Word. We are surrounded by people and media that are trying to instill their values on us constantly. Jesus said in John 17:15-16 "My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it." We cannot and should not avoid those who have "bad character". Wisdom just tells us to not be influenced by them but rather become the life giving influencer in their lives.
