Persevering
It's not enough to hear the word and retain it ... we also must persevere to produce a crop. We must persevere though the devil will come and try to take away the word from our hearts. We must persevere in putting down roots so that when the time of testing comes, we will stand. We must persevere as life's worries, riches and pleasures threaten to choke us and stop us from maturing. Persevere in trusting, persevere in following, persevere in obeying, especially when it hurts.
