Trading in our God for a god?
In the Message this verse says, "And all this because they traded the true God for a fake god, and worshiped the god they made instead of the God who made them—the God we bless, the God who blesses us. Oh, yes!"
Are we as Christians just as guilty at times for trading our God for a god we have made? We may have not carved an image to represent him, but have we used theology to "bend" him into a more palatable or understandable God? Do we try to defend Him and change Him so we are more comfortable with Him?
Just a question.
