Jesus is our mediator

It's so awesome to know that God has been working throughout history to bring about the redemption of His people. In this passage from Job, Job is completely broken and crying out in his misery. Job knows that he is righteous, that he did nothing to deserve the calamity that has befallen him. He also knows that God is unsearchable, that no mortal can argue with him or take him to trial. In this spirit, Job cries out for a mediator, someone who could stand between him and God and bring them back together.

1 Timothy 2:5-6 says, "For there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity - the man Christ Jesus. He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone. This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time."

Jesus is our mediator. He is the one who is able to stand before God on our behalf and reconcile us to the Almighty. In Jesus alone is our hope for redemption and reconciliation.
