God is My Portion
Aaron was told that he would not receive an allotment of land. Instead God would be his allotment and share. I am reminded in this passage to place my treasure in heavenly places. This verse reminds me that it is a greater thing to have God as my portion than land or houses or cars.
Like Aaron, I am set apart for duty. My trust is not in a 401K or in a savings account. My trust and my treasure should be used to God's glory. It is tempting to build up earthly treasures and rely on them - but God is my source.
