Romans 2: 29 Wake up call
I understand that we need to cut away, separate ourselves from the mindset, etc of this world from our heart because we are not of this world. However, somewhere I read, and I don’t know exactly how accurate this is, that our heart is like an iceberg. An iceberg is about 80% underwater and about 20% above water (I could be wrong about the numbers. Hopefully you will get the picture). If our hearts are like an iceberg than we are only aware of 20% of what is in our hearts. The other 80% that is not exposed and that we are not fully aware of we need God’s help to cut away that of this world that should not be in our hearts.
Someone once described to me that our hearts are like an onion that has many layers. If we let God reveal layer by layer to us, than we will know what we need to let go of in our hearts.
