Jesus' definition of His mission is to: preach good news; proclaim freedom; recover sight; and release the oppressed. As a follower of Jesus it is my job to pick up this mantle and join this mission. I am to live a life that preaches good news, proclaims freedom, recovers sight, and releases the oppressed. What an awesome way to live.

18 “The Spirit of the Lord is on me,
because he has anointed me
to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind,
to release the oppressed,

19 to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.”
