The proud
Such an important reminder, to stay humble in our hearts and minds. Pride separates us from God, even pride in our religious status! We can clearly see how God scatters the proud in their thoughts from the lives of the Pharisees, who thought their footing with God was so secure - but instead got lost in their laws, rigid theology and self righteous ideals.
I want to always approach Scripture humbly, leaving to the side my pre-concieved notions of who God is and what he would have of me. I want to see every situation outside of myself, somehow balancing God's authority with His compassion as well.
