True Faith Indeed

Here satan has roamed far and wide, doing his deceitful deeds I presume and God comes across him. In this verse, Job 1:8, God willingly asks satan if he has considered Job. Amazing is it not?

Imagine...God has soo much trust in his servant Job that no matter what occurred to him, he would not turn from his Divine Father and giver of life. Now imagine, if God has had this conversation again with satan, about YOU, and the trails you endure now is because God knows you will not stray but Praise His name. Nevertheless He grants & permits satan to attack his possessions, even his family, but not the life of Job himself. What does this show?

1. God has the ultimate power. His say is the FINAL say. He permits satan to attack Job, BUT he is not allowed to attack his actual life. It shows you plainly and straightforward that God is ALL POWERFUL, no one can measure up to Him, especially the devil.

2. I believe God is permitting a trail. We are always told that being a follower of Christ, isnt in fact easy but the opposite. "Although I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil..." God NEVER said life would be easy & pain free, but He did promise He would never leave us or forsake us. He is testing us, even allowing us to grow in our relationship with Him to new heights and new visions.

3. No matter what occurs, we must ALWAYS run TO God and never FROM Him.

When you read Job, you can compare it to life now. For example: a close death in the family, your instinct is to ask WHY????? Why did it happen, why this person, why God, etc. Now put it in through the eyes of Job. He has the hardest attacks bestowed upon him and yet he did not ever question God. Instead...Job 1:20-21, He stripped naked before God, fell to his knees and worshipped, that is correct WORSHIP God. How amazing is that??? How incredible to be under the most horrible circumstances with possibly every right to question and maybe even angry at God (for permitting the attack), but yet those thoughts never crossed Job's mind.

I will be honest, I don't think I would be able to do it. In fact, in previous times I reacted in the opposite manner & strayed from God. But wow, how amazing to never doubt the Lord and in trouble times WORSHIP HIM instead of abandon Him.

Where are your eyes set upon? The problem at hand? or the One who has already DEFEATED the problem? I want to be more like Job & have my eyes upon the King instead of what is occurring.
