Living for something great

Wow, Simeon was at the end of his life, but was hanging on and living for one more day with the hope of meeting the saviour of the world. At the end of his life he could go in peace with the knowledge that he had met the saviour. How often do we forget that we can meet with the saviour every moment of every day? Despite this privileged opportunity our lives are wrestles, void and numb. I do not think it is because the saviour is any less than he was 2000+ years ago, rather I think it is because we forget the power and greatness, the love, mercy and grace that He embodies. We have access to the throne of heaven. We have the opportunity for relationship, not just a brief encounter, yet we pass it up so easily. I am challenged to meet with the Saviour of the World, to really meet with and engage him, and find peace and a reason to live.
