The first true revival in scripture

After the fall of man, through Adam and Eve, and then the murder of Abel by Cain, the world was in major disarray. Adam and Eve began the blame game and passed it on to their son Cain. When asked by God where Abel was, Cain responded, "Am I my brother's keeper?" Just another example of this family trying to place the blame on someone else.

Luckily, God still had a plan to redeem mankind and our relationship with Him. It first came through Adam and Eve's son, Seth. Genesis 4:26 seems to be the first mention of revival in scripture. Because of the faithfulness of Seth, he is mentioned in the lineage of Jesus, not Abel or Cain. (Luke 3:38)

It seems that every time the world starts failing, God has always had a plan to redeem us. He sent His son Jesus to bring us all back into His fellowship and one day, He will come back for us for the ultimate redemption gathering.
