So, Adam blamed Eve who blamed the Serpent. But, whose fault was it really???
The Serpent who embodied Satan (i.e. the Fallen Angel) and who was already thrown out of heaven by God Himself??? Satan will always try to tempt us; it is his job to snatch as many souls as possible away from God.
Eve, Adam's newest companion and helper, who gave heed to the Serpent's cunning words and was thus tempted??? According to verse 7, Eve's eyes were NOT opened immediately after eating the fruit. This probably means that Eve did not fully grasp the implication of her action...
Adam, manager of the garden of Eden appointed by God Himself, who walked & talked with God & knew Him personally??? I think the Fall of Man could have been prevented by Adam because he simply held the key. As said above, their eyes were opened only after he ate the forbidden fruit. Being created first & having spent more time with God, Adam had probably a certain sense of responsibility over his new companion, Eve. However, in verse 12, instead of asking forgiveness from God, Adam cowardly blames Eve (and indirectly God who gave him the woman) who, in turn, knew no better than blaming the Serpent...
