Sin VS. Reigning Sin.
Therefore do not let sin reign in your body, that you obey it in it's lusts. It would appear from this verse that there is a difference between sin in me and sin that reigns in me. I suppose the difference is what i allow to remain and therefore reign and then obey in it's lusts! So Father, i know sin lives in me...i know that though redeemed i am still a sinner in need of daily grace and forgiveness, but not all of my sins reigns...but some do! O God deliver me from the power of reigning sin! Help me to slay the wicked thing in my midst so that i do not obey it in it's lusts! Help me cut off all lifelines to it. Let me make no provision for it and in the moment when it desires to have mastery over me....then O God come in power and rescue me and give me grace abounding to stand in the evil moment and choose LIFE instead of death! Thank you that sin shall NOT be my master and that sin no longer has power over me in CHRIST! Let me live up and out of the lower nature and self life! Thank YOu God for this insight and let this truth explode in power over my reigning sins! I love you and need you today O God, my FAther and Jesus my Lord and Saviour!
