A God of Order

Our God chose to complete His creation in 6 days, though He could have completed it in 1. In an hour. In a breath, the blink of an eye. He set Himself on a timetable, though He could have designed the world with less thought to order. He chose then and chooses now to be a God of order with a plan and a timing for everything.

This is an encouragement to me, when I am doubtful of His timing, when I am impatient and relunctantly waiting. He chooses to work in my life just as He did in the beginning -- with order. With thought to each step. With a plan. What may feel like chaos is anything but that, if I am surrendered to Him. And I can trust and know that He will bring about beauty in everything He does, even in the most challenging of seasons.
