God's power and His purpose

This chapter really spoke to me about how powerful God really is and how powerful Jesus was there and is now=] It says He was gonna pretty much prepare a way for Himself and those who followed him and give them direction. it also says that He would, in other words, weed out the true disciples from the false ones.....this really spoke to me about how everyone around us should see, through our actions and what we say, that we put God first and our first priority is to make Him happy with our lives. It also spoke to me about needing to have a giving spirit so that we can be there for others around us when they need help...not always for material things to give, but to give fellowship and time in my day to listen. Sometimes all those around us need is a friend to listen and to tell them they care and to pray for them....so, in the end, if we're not bearing fruits from what we're doing for God, we're not truly following Him as He has asked us to...lastly, I think we need to pray that God gives His people a fresh fire and a passion to go out and tell people how amazing He is and to truly worship and praise Him with all that we are. When we worship, it shouldnt just be us reapeating words, it should be us singing our prayers and praises to Him out of the love we have for Him. I also think we should pray God's Spirit would give us the words to pray and for the power of His Holy Spirit to not be afraid of what we have to do, where we have to go or who He wants us to talk to=]
