Who Fears the Lord
In Genesis 20:11 Abraham (now with covenant name) believes no one in the land he and Sarah are traveling through fears God, including Abimilech. We find out in verse 16 Abraham is wrong. These "non-believers" do end up fearing God.
One major flaw a lot of believers make is dismissing non-believers as hopeless pagans. "Why even bother, they don't fear God." This attitude is prevalent in believers and it is most evident when we don't share our faith and beliefs. We may be tempted to think something like "this person has tuned me out before." What Abraham missed was God. God intervened (through a dream) and allowed Abimilech and others to be ready to receive a blessing (later given by Abraham).
To simply count someone out because they are a non-believer is wrong, selfish and cowardly. As the old song says, be bold, be strong for the Lord thy God is with you.
