We tend to think of Jesus as a gentle and tender-spirited soul, and He is, but we sometimes forget that He is our sovereign Lord and King and deserves our obedience and respect. This psalm should remind us to live holy lives with a healthy fear of God; to be faithful and remember that He is in charge of our life and not us.
