We all need a little reprogramming!
So here we find Jesus ticked off... why? Because the priests and the people were perverting the sacrifice. They were banking out, they were making a prophet on the people's needs (doesn't sound like any churches today) This is free by the way, you don't have to send in money for "prayer cloth"... sorry this obviously upsets me... to see people taken advantage of in society like this.
It obviously bothered Jesus too. Now what is interesting is that... He not only turned over tables and ran off the money changers, etc. The awesome thing here is that... He stayed!
Look at verse 48... He taught them daily. How cool is that. See God didn't just get upset at our wrong and point it out... He began the process of correcting it. He stayed and began to clean up the mess that what made of sacrifice and I'm sure many other things.
It is not enough to recognize our wrong... that is part of it, but we also need to allow Him to reprogram us, to correct and teach us. We also need to do the same with those that we are responsible for, don't just point out the wrong, help correct it. That is discipleship.
