No one ever said that living as a Christian would be easy...
In Luke 9:54-55 we see that the disciples wanted to handle things in their own way. They didn't like the fact that the people were rejecting Jesus. So they asked, “Lord, do you want us to call down fire from heaven to destroy these people?”. Jesus turned and corrected them for what they had said.
When we think that we need to handle things in our way, we find that we are out of God's will. People in this life will hurt us and misuse us and speak all kinds of bad things about us, but Christ calls us to love them and to pray for them and forgive them.
No one ever said that living as a Christian would be easy...
