7 “Don’t bargain with God. Be direct. Ask for what you need. Thinking about this passage got me all twisted up today. I started to think of all the things that i had asked for and did not get and i realized i had interpreted the passage as ask for what you want not ask for what you need. For people who cannot see the next 5 minutes, we are pretty confident in our ability to tell God how our lives are going to go. We are like ants trying to navigate a long complex journey and God is holding the map and not only that, He designed the path. I have caught myself many times taking life advise from a complete stranger and trusting them even more than the one with the ultimate plan. I walk around thinking that I own my destiny and world but the truth is we are just tools. If we do what we are meant to we will be effective in the hands of God if not He will get him self another tool...its as simple as that. He loves us very dearly but thats because love is His nature and the very essence of who He is. To not trust Him would be to be an ineffective tool in His service. THIS LIFE IS FORGETTABLE IN ETERNITY. Be useful to Him as long as you can.
