New Means New!
23 If you return to the Almighty, you will be renewed. If you banish injustice from your tent...
If you return to the Almighty, you will be renewed! How many times have we been told to seek out advise from friends, parents, companions, psychologists, etc. Don't get me wrong, getting advice is great from them, but be careful what you keep & store in your heart. Either way...this passage states, to return to the Almighty.
Why do we choose to look else where to identify our problems??? Or to find a solution??? Our trials and sufferings are there to help us GROW closer to God, to TRUST Him in everything no matter what situation. I love that Hillsong song, "Desert Song" it states, All of my life, in EVERY season...YOU are STILL God, I HAVE a REASON to WORSHIP!!! Isnt that amazing, no matter what season, good or bad...God is still GOD, and because He reins constantly we should Worship. Many times, we forget He is still sitting on His throne during our hardships & look for comfort in the wrong hands. When in fact the Lord has already conquered the victory...if only we look to Him to restore it and make us NEW not different but NEW!
It goes on to say: 25 the Almighty will be your gold and your finest silver. 26 Then you will delight in the Almighty and lift up your face to God.
Gold and finest silver are the best of the best. So if our God is the best of the best...why look for something of less value? Am I right??
And then you will delight in the Almight and lift your face to God. It says how we give thanks for the many blessings we are given by Him. But I think it goes deeper than that. See if God is the finest silver & gold, then HIMSELF is what is valuable, not what we receive but who He is, His desires & His plans.
So let us delight ourselves in the Almighty...for WHO HE is, not for what He does. Let us focus our eyes not of the problem & our circumstances but rather on the one who already accomplished it and said IT IS FINISHED!!!
