We can't afford to be silent and stupid about sexuality in the church. Sexuality always flows out of identity perceptions and God made us in his own image. God made sex.
You cannot legislate morality, it has to be a ground up movement.
Song of Solomon is all about sex; not the flowers or the hunting allegories, but consensual, marital, God given sex.
Parents: Teach your children how to esteem, value and protect what God made, so no one else will have to.
The church cannot continue to use these religious excuses to hide God's intended version of sex; quit hiding behind shame and guilt and fight back against today's culture with truth and the Word of God.
We don't get to redefine the rules of sex; neither Hollywood or the church.
We don't rebel against God's protective boundaries in most areas of our lives, but for some reason, sexual sin is different. We always feel like our situation is different our what we're doing isn't really "sex", or that we can push the sexual boundaries without being severely damaged inside....this is all untrue.
Encourage and reward modesty; don't take cues about how to dress or what's appropriate from famous people who don't know God. Endure and stay pure.
Sexual temptation is an issue of the heart, not of your circumstance. It won't ever go away by getting married, etc.
You don't have to carry the shame, and you don't have to keep the secret. Glory to God, who through his son Jesus Christ, took all of our shame on his physical body, on the cross and died for our sins so that we could have bold access to God and no longer live our lives defeated and dissuaded by guilt.
