"Godly Sorrow" or "Worldly Sorrow"

"Godly Sorrow" or " Worldly Sorrow"? What's the difference? Think about this: If a person cheats on his/her spouse and gets caught in the act what are the reactions. If that person says, "I'm sorry baby," and does the wrong deed again, then that person was only sorry he/she got caught and is trying to be more careful about it. That's "Worldly Sorrow."
Same Scenario: The person tells the spouse,"I'm sorry baby," but actually feels really bad and dedicates the rest of his life to making his/her spouse happy again because he/she knows the grief he/she put his/her spouse through. That's "Godly Sorrow."
We need to know that our sins bring great grief to our Father, and when we repent for the sorrow we brought him is must be sincere. If so, we are promised forgiveness and eternal life. If not, we are promised death. Not saying we are going to die literally, but if we don't repent sincerely, we are already spiritually dead inside. So we might as well take it literally. Without God, we have no hope of anything else.
