The confidence of changed lives
The blind man had so much confidence that he went from being a footnote on the side of the road to lecturing the religious leaders in a matter of minutes. The catalyst was Jesus' miracle of giving him sight. He testifies to them with a confidence that they did not even have. But the blind man does not pretend to have all the answers. He quickly admits that he doesn't know it all. But his confidence of the change that has taken place in his life is undeniable and he proclaims it boldly. When we are speaking of changed lives, we should be honest and humble in our short comings but confident and bold to convey how God has changes our lives.
Interestingly, this miracle takes place first and only later, does Jesus meet him and he says he believes. Also, Jesus puts the mud on his eyes and tells him to "Go and wash in the pool" so it's possible that the blind man doesn't even see Jesus until their second meeting. It's a method based in humility. When we want thanks or credit, we try to adjust the circumstances to be present and in the center to receive thanks and praise. Jesus didn't do that.
