Make Holy...

Some of those big spiritual words like sanctify I have to look up (I am simple minded) in the dictionary, and what I found was, "to make holy." MMMM... so essentially make holy the fact that Christ is Lord in our hearts SO THAT we can make a defense concerning our hope, to all that would ask.
I like that. It's necessary for me to understand Jesus as Lord, and submit to His Lordship, for me to be able to defend my faith.
Quite honestly this sounds the reason why sometimes it is hard for me to defend my faith (the hope I have), because I am unwilling to submit to the Lordship of Christ. Yet, times when I fully acknowledge and obey His Lordship, I am not only able, but willing! to share/defend my faith.

What measures can I take to ensure I am submitting consistently to Christ's Lordship?
