Here we have a encounter thats becomes Jacob's pledge to make God his God.
Jacob tells God that if He does this and this, then Jacob will make God his God and Tithe to Him. It is amazing to see that the Tithe was put in place before the Law came into place.
Genesis 28:20-22 Jacob solemnly promised God, “If you go with me and watch over me as I travel, and if you give me food and clothes and bring me safely home again, you will be my God. This rock will be your house, and I will give back to you a tenth of everything you give me.”
This reminds me of when we learn about what Christ did for us on the cross and then we accept it and we make God our God.
