What it's like in God's will.

John 7:30 Therefore they sought to take Him; but no one laid a hand on Him, because His hour had not yet come.

Jesus was not worried that people didn't believe in Him, even that His own brothers were mocking Him. He continued to speak and live the truth. This angered many, and their hostility was rising to the point of seeking to kill Him. But Jesus was not worried about this either, because His hour had not yet come.
I have been learning in this trip through John's gospel about authority and the power of walking in God's word. Jesus lived this authority even in the face of death. Until His hour was to come, He did not fear death. He lived in perfect harmony with God and the knowledge of His will.

As I continue to take steps of faith toward adoption, and walk through the challenges God has for me at work and home, I can rest in confidence that as I obey God, I will remain in the center of His will. There is an "hour" for me too. And really, that doesn't just apply to death, but to the fulfillment of God's promise.

Yesterday it seemed that God was saying something to me as He brought Ecclesiastes 3 to me in various and random venues. "To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven." My hour will come, this season will end, and I do not want to wonder what I did with it at that time. I want to be found faithful. And Lord, I am so excited to see Your promises fulfilled. I love You. Help me to walk as Jesus did: each day in the center of Your will.
