He's my Redeemer too
Is there any greater profession of faith than a sickness ridden man, whose life is just about snuffed out, saying, "I know that my Redeemer lives, and ... I will see Him for myself!"?
I don't know how to have that kind of faith. I find myself wilting at the first onslaught of opposition. I look for a way out from pain. I avoid confrontation. And yet, I am inspired by Job's words ... inspired to think that perhaps I, too, can believe in the midst of whatever calamity may overtake me. I, too, can have a rock-solid assurance of faith in a Redeemer who will not disappoint. After all, He's my Redeemer, too.
Thank you, Job, for not giving up. Thank you for inscribing your words in stone that they might eventually be written on my heart.
