Physical or Spiritual?
Rebekah feels the two babies jostling or struggling within her. Rebekah was not a stranger to struggle. She struggled with the issue of barrenness. This must have been a grave struggle for her to have been so troubled by it.
Now, she is experiencing physical anguish because of, what she feels in her inner parts, but is actually something taking place in the kingdom or spiritual realm. The boys inside her are struggling with and jostling one another. No doubt, Rebekah can feel the jostling. What is taking place here is more than what meets the eye.
For some mother, this may have been construed as indigestion, too much pizza, or morning sickness. But Rebekah knew something was wrong and inquired of the Lord.
God reveals to Rebekah that she is nursing within her, not only two boys, but two nations. Rebekah is feeling the physical anguish of something GOD is performing in the kingdom or spiritual realm.
GOD is speaking and moving, right now. GOD is working and doing things, and not without providing insight to his followers. To all who will listen and be sensitive enough to inquire of the Lord, GOD will reveal his actions and intentions. The Psalmist says, " I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go". Position yourself, sensitize yourself, and listen to your maker.
