-Notice that the Israelites spent a quarter of the day reading from the Book of the Law and another quarter of the day was spent in confession and worship.
-I am reminded that as a leader, it is so critical to have the foundational truths of God’s as the basis for everything.
-The people spent time worshipping and calling out all of the awesome qualities of God.
-They also spent time recognizing the places where they chose to take their own path rather than follow God…and admitted that is why things fell apart.
-The Israelites recognized their opportunity for a new start and recommitted themselves to what God would have in store for them.
-As a leader, it is ok to admit that you were wrong. It is even more helpful if you can find the spot where things went south. Usually it happens when we take our eyes of Christ and put them on our own desires.
