Praise Him...ALWAYS!
John 12:13 So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet Jesus, shouting,“Praise God! God bless the One who comes in the name of the Lord! God bless the King of Israel!”
The people here are praising Jesus because they think that He is going to be their political king and free them from Rome’s rule. But we know that these shouts of praise will soon turn to shouts of “Crucify Him” because He wasn’t meeting their political agenda.
It easy for me to praise God when things are going my way but do I still have praise for Him when things are not going my way? Not praising God during the tough times is a lack of faith on my part. God has been faithful to me and used all things (even the things that haven’t gone my way) for good in my life.
Lord Jesus, I don’t want to be flakey with my praise for You. Help me to remember Your faithfulness towards me when things aren’t going my way and to always have praise You.
