6 Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God.
7 Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
In the world of retail and sales when someone sells something for a prophet whether it be food, luxury items, necessities or even animals they completely forget about it and move on to the next thing they are looking to sell. They are the expert and can even give you all the details and specs and things you should know about what you are about to buy. However they have no emotional attachment what so ever and completely forget about what they sold after selling it and move on to the next item. I can’t but think that even people in the context of relationships are made to feel this way as they are used and made to feel un-loved and just another object or someone who will soon before forgotten. Even though at one time they were made to feel special as if the person who said that they cared and loved them knew everything about them.
I am so glad that this is not how God deals with us. On the contrary it’s amazing to think about how endless the knowledge and love of God is. Not only does He love us unconditionally be He knows all the details about us. We are not an object or a thing but we are his prized possession His creation which He loves dearly who knows everything about us and is willing to emotionally attach Himself to us in the context of a relationship.
This is so comforting when I think about all the things that I have been and am still afraid of. I have a heavenly father who knows all about me and loves and will not leave me. I am of great value and worth to God.
