Are you the one?

I think this verse verse is interesting because I find myself doing the same thing over and over again. Here we have John the baptist who baptized Jesus and annouced publicly, "Behold, the Son of God." The Holy Spirit came down like a dove right before His eyes. John heard of all the gnarly miracles Jesus was doing and while he was in jails sends disciples to ask Jesus if He is the "one." Why did he ask? He could of asked because he found himself in jail and not in a place he thought he would be by standing up for righteousness. He could also asked because He forgot like so many of us the goodness of our God.
