~~~~ I couldn't help but think of the earthquake that struck Haiti throughout the night last night, and think about the coming of the Lord. That He is coming soon, and seeing all these devastations happening continually around the globe. It is scary and it is saddening. So many are dying around the world without making the choice for Christ. Yet, then... I read today's scripture reading, and used the parallel once I came to these verses. How awesome that HE can calm my heart by HIS word. I liked how The Message version put these verses. No need to panic, because God will be right there with you! Yes, my prayers sill go out to the earthquake survivors, and that if they are clinging to life, that they will quickly make the decision for HIM. That the wonderful Haitian people will come together as a people and help each other to survive and to know that this was brought on by a powerful God. It has brought the city down to it's knees, and I pray it will bring the people also down to it's knees. I know, it has made me see the comfort of the things I have around me. It has touched my thoughts, and put a joyful thanksgiving in the things I was complaining about just a day ago. God is right there with you, there is no need to panic. HE is always in control, and HE will keep you safe and sound.
