The Cries That Are Heard

After the king of Egypt died, the children of Israel cried, and it went up to God. Sometimes, I realize that although we may do everything in our will to win someone to the Lord Jesus Christ, the other person won't listen to us at the time for whatsoever reason that may be. Nonetheless, God is working on their hearts in some way, shape, or form. Unfortunately, it sometimes also takes a person they know personally to die before they get saved. My preacher held a funeral at my church once, and as he spoke the message, at the end, he asked everyone to bow their heads and close their eyes and raise their hand if they weren't saved. Eight people raised their hand and got saved that day. It's a bad thing that it takes a death for someone to get saved, but Jesus died on the cross for us, to save us -- and I guess it takes the same visualization for us to accept it; it's always a blessing to see people get saved no matter the time, but do it while you're young.
