As long as the earth endures...
seedtime and harvest
cold and heat
summer and winter
day and night
will never cease.

In the beauty of the cycles of nature is God's ultimate power.

We are bound to these cycles whether we recognize them as being part of God's creation or not. We mark our time by day and night... we mark our habits by seasons... we are subject to them, whether we recognize God in them or not. We, despite our best efforts, have not succeeded in taking control of these things.

May the beautiful and relentless natural world around us always remind us of Your wisdom, Your creativity, Your constancy, Your provision.... and our unavoidable position of submission.
