1. Philemon’s love and faith characterize his relationship with both the Jesus and the saints.
2. Philemon’s faith (but not love)
a. because I hear of your love and of the faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and all the saints (RSV)
3. The verse is a reversed parallelism (AB:B’A’), keyed by the two different prepositions for for. Love is parallel to for the saints, faith is parallel to for the Lord Jesus.
