He sees

But God hasn’t moved to the mountains;
his holy address hasn’t changed.
He’s in charge, as always, his eyes
taking everything in, his eyelids
Unblinking, examining Adam’s unruly brood
inside and out, not missing a thing.

Sometimes it feels like God isn't here. Sometimes it feels like He has changed His address, packed up and headed somewhere else.

What a blessing to be assured in the Scriptures that this is not true, that our feelings don't always reflect reality.

God is not far. He has not moved. He's here, taking it all in - watching everyone's every move.
