Belief and Behavior, a connection?

If I really lived out the first 4 verses of this chapter, I would not ever think hiding from God is a possibility. So if God is intimately involved with my thoughts even before I have them, why wouldn't I have a ruthlessly honest relationship with him?

To hide from God is to act and believe that he is less than he is.
Or that he is not who he says he is.
Or to call him a liar.
Or to claim that I am more informed than he is.

When Paul tells Timothy to "adorn the doctrine of God" he asking Timothy and me to live, emote, in such a way that I represent a view of God that the Bible puts forth.

Believing and behaving have a lot to do with one another.

I see why David ends the way he does.

Father make a thorough inventory of my internal world. Bring me to a point of seeing what you see. I realize that there are somethings in me that can't be changed until they are broken, smashed. Give me the courage to live out my beliefs. Turn my stomach when they don't match. Give me an allergic reaction to my hypocrisy.
