Survival
Jesus said to not worry about what to eat, drink, or where. He then says that life is more important than food? I think that food is pretty important. I love food, probably too much. It is necessary for life as well so, for Christ to say that “life” is more important, it kind of throws me off. If “life” means more, then there is a lot that means more than sustenance. This wouldn’t make sense if you stopped with this verse. He said to seek first His kingdom. This is life and more important than survival. Life and the people around us are more important than survival. I think that’s what He means. But, He knows that we need food, drink, and clothes to survive. We shouldn’t be caught up in survival but should seek His kingdom first. He will let us survive. That’s not our job.
