In the beginning of creation...
When one reads the story of creation from Genesis 1, it's amazing to think how God created everything simply by speaking it into existence. Then after creating it, He declared it to be good. How anyone (including Christians) can read Genesis 1 and then believe in evolutionary theory or extremely old earth theory is beyond me. The text says there was morning and evening, a day. Written in a way that the early readers (Israelites) would understand it to mean a day. And it was all for God's glory. Romans 1 tells us that creation shows who God is. The next time you see a squirrel in your yard, just watch all of it's little intricacies. All of that was created back in Genesis. The wonders of God's creation scream the glory of God.
